Our Environmental Responsibility
At Beechgrove Furniture we endeavour to integrate sound environmental practices into our business, currently achieving residual waste recycling statistics of 95%. Our shavings and sawdust go to local equine centres for menage ground covering. Some of our wood off-cuts are used for making musical instruments and small toys for children by a local manufacturer and unusable off-cuts are given to employees as burning fuel.
We also source recycled wood materials for our manufacturing process where appropriate. The use of sustainable materials is an environmentally positive process and we believe that the material planning and care that we put into our furniture reflects our passion for upholding environmental standards.
Our new corporate brochure was printed by Park Lane Press using a waterless printing technique, a lithographic process that eliminates water consumption and the release of VOCs (volatile organic compounds) into the atmosphere. The paper it was printed on is totally chlorine free (TCF) with 75% of the fibre made from 100% de-inked post consumer waste.
